Why the Black Gold Map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Disappoints

Are you looking forward to playing the Black Gold map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? Well, you may want to reconsider. The new multiplayer map has not been well-received, with many players expressing their disappointment and frustration. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at why the Black Gold map has failed to impress.

Firstly, the map's design is lackluster, with few objects to climb on or places to set up ambushes. The result is that gunfights often come down to who is the better marksman, rather than who is the more strategic player. Even the Cargo Dock, which may seem like a point of contention, has limited cover options.

The Chimneys area of the map may seem like a promising spot to get a height advantage, but there are still few places to take cover. While the area is full of climbing potential, the lack of cover means that you'll be an easy target for enemy Operators. Additionally, the motion sensors located above all the ground-floor entrances make it difficult to surprise your opponents.

The Main Warehouse is one of the larger areas of the map, but it is surrounded by motion sensors that turn on the lights when detecting nearby movement. This makes it almost impossible to sneak up on your enemies. While there are stacked crates that offer another passage to the upper level, the cover is still inadequate.

The Train Docks area of the map is particularly narrow, making it difficult to move around without being spotted. Trying to climb over the burning oil barrels can result in serious injury, making it a risky move. The burning train also hems in the area, limiting your options for movement.

Finally, the Backlot area of the map is a tight-knit environment that favors close- to mid-range combat. While you can get on top of the parked vehicles and small offices, the cover is limited, and you'll be an easy target for enemy Operators.

In conclusion, the Black Gold map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leaves a lot to be desired. With a lack of cover and limited strategic options, it's no wonder that players have expressed their dislike for the map. If you're looking for a more enjoyable multiplayer experience, you may want to skip the Black Gold map and try something else.
